Greg Dillon has spent over four decades shaping the property loss and restoration industry, never settling for the status quo and always driven by a simple principle: build what the industry needs, then improve it. Today, he is the industry-leading T&M Subject Matter Expert, advocating for complete transparency and fairness for all stakeholders.
Greg started his career as a subcontractor in water damage restoration, progressing from hands-on field work to operating his own company and ultimately leading one of the nation's largest restoration firms. His experience includes residential mitigation, catastrophic commercial and industrial losses, and everything in between.
Along the way, he also became a licensed general contractor for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. To further understand the claims side of property loss, he became a licensed property adjuster and has worked as a property loss consultant and clerk on complex commercial losses.
In 1989, while working on Hurricane Hugo recovery efforts in Charleston, South Carolina, Greg developed his first Time & Materials (T&M) billing process—on a legal pad, using Microsoft Works. That homegrown solution would eventually evolve into a series of T&M systems and ultimately become T&M Pro, the most widely adopted T&M platform in North America.
In 2019, Sedgwick—the country’s largest third-party administrator (TPA)—acquired T&M Pro. Greg remained in senior leadership through early 2025, serving as vice president and then senior vice president of the T&M business unit for Sedgwick. During that time, he remained committed to promoting transparency, defending fair billing practices, and protecting the interests of all restoration professionals.
Why He Chose to Build Again—Not Walk Away
After making his decision to retire from T&M Pro and Sedgwick, most assumed Greg would retire for good. He had accomplished what many aspire to—building a legacy platform, creating the industry-leading T&M platform in an industry where most said he would never succeed against the estimating software giants, and then selling it successfully to the world's largest TPA, and the ability to serve in high-level executive roles allowing him to learn more about the TPA side of the industry.
Once the word was out that Greg had retired from Sedgwick/T&M Pro, it was apparent the industry wasn’t finished needing him.
Several companies approached Greg with offers to build, rebuild, or lead their T&M programs and businesses.
Greg respectfully declined the offers and made a bold decision: to build the first complete and fully integrated Time and Material Software ecosystem from the ground up for the property loss professionals.
